After seeing the park with his friends, Henry was sure to tell Daddy all about it. He was really excited for the opportunity to show off his new love to Daddy. So we headed out with swim trunks, a towel and lots of energy (on Henry's part).
Owen hung out in the front pack with Mommy while Henry and Daddy explored all the different fountains.
One of Henry's favorite activities was stepping on the fountains to stop the water. He thought that was the neatest thing.
And of course, if the water shut off, he ran as fast as he could to push the button. I really think the button is why he loves the fountain so much, he just figures he might as well play in the water while he's waiting to push the button again.
On another afternoon we headed back out to the water park and picked up some frozen yogurt on our way. We watched the water fountains while we ate our summer treat. Henry made sure to try out all the flavors!
"Uh Oh! Water turn off!" But, no worries, Henry made sure to turn the water back on as quickly as possible.
After we finished our frozen yogurt, we headed out to the playground to play. It wasn't warm enough to run through the water, but Henry didn't seem to mind. He just kept a close eye on the water (and the button) while we played on the playground. I hung out with Henry while Owen napped in the front pack with Daddy.
"Doot da doo!!" Henry loves to shout that into the telephone/speaker things (there are two on opposite sides of the playground and you can talk to each other through them).
Henry also did an amazing job climbing the rock wall. It was a little big for him, but with some help, he was able to scale to the top!
After the park, we headed home for a picnic & movie night on the floor. Henry helped pick some fresh tomatoes and strawberries from our deck garden.
And then we all watched Toy Story while sharing bread, cheese and fruit. There's something about sitting on the floor sharing food that is very exciting for Henry. He does a great job of not making a mess and I look forward to the next movie night. (And of course Owen was there too, but he wasn't able to enjoy the food or movie yet, although I'm sure he will be big enough before we know it).
And to make up for the lack of Owen pictures when we're out and about, here are a few random ones. . .
Tummy time!
And snoozing in the front pack (well on top of the front pack after Daddy took it off). I'm telling you, that front pack is the best! As you can tell it's our go-to resource at the park, but it also gives us some free hands around the house. Owen is not a fan of being put down for long, so it's the only way to get things done peacefully sometimes. :)
