Henry at 17 Months
I'm a little late posting this, so hopefully his 17 month milestones are pretty accurate. :) He has his 4 tooth on the bottom and is more and more active everyday. He's claimed the drawer in the kitchen and uses all our old cell phones on regular basis. He loves stacking blocks (although still prefers to knock them down), hiding "treasures" in the seat of his ride-on train toy (such as socks, random papers, bibs, toys and sippy cups) and he loves that he knows how to open our sliding pocket doors. His newest word that I absolutely love is thank you! He's still learning when he's actually supposed to say it, but it makes me smile every time I hear it. And what we love seeing, is his happy reaction whenever he sees the Oregon Ducks mascot. Silly duck! :) And finally, here are random pictures from the month . . . Trying on Mommy's shoe and hiding it in "his" drawer . . .
Helping Mommy cook (and yes, that's an apron, not a dress) :) . . .
Helping Daddy cheer on the Vandals . . .
One not so fun thing this month was Henry getting pink eye. But he did an awesome job with his eye drops (he even found it a bit amusing and let us put drops in every time) and it didn't seem to hold him back much. Trying his very own oatmeal treatment . . .
Feeding Tilly (Tilly has never eaten better since he moved to a high chair) :) . . .
Watching Ducks games (Go Ducks!!) while relaxing on Tilly's bed. So much fun to dive and roll on!
Exploring everything!
Cheese!
Yay!!! (Oh yeah, he loves cheering "Yay" and clapping - never missing an opportunity).

Henry at 5 Months . . .
Yesterday, Henry was 5 months old!! We can't believe how fast he's growing (I know, I know, I say that a lot). :) Since we didn't take him to the doctor this month, we tried to weigh and measure him ourselves. According to our fancy weighing system (weigh Mommy, hand Henry to Mommy and weigh again), he's just about 15 pounds! That's more than twice what he weighed at birth. Our measuring system (try and hold measuring tape next to him as he wiggles around), wasn't as exact. We measured him at 24.5 inches. According to the doctor, he was 24.75 inches at 4 months. We're pretty sure he didn't shrink, so we'll say he's about 25 inches long. :)
Here's a picture of him in his Pack n' Play. (For the record, I don't put him in this direction, he likes to turn himself to see the warning label). . .
Here he is in there back in May (I'd say he's grown a lot) . . .
