Henry's 1st Solid Food and More Updates

Henry had a very exciting week and had a few big firsts. On Sunday, we gave Henry his first taste of solid food. Some very exciting rice cereal. He opened his mouth nice and wide for us to feed him and seemed to have a good time. I think most of the cereal ended up on his hands and face, but we have to start somewhere! :)

Another big first this week was rolling over. He's been really close to rolling over from his back to his tummy, but so far can only get to his side. Today we tried some more tummy time with him (which he doesn't put up with for long) and he rolled right back over to his back. Mommy tried putting him back on his tummy three more times, but each time he rolled right over to his back. I guess that's a no on tummy time! :) He's really getting strong these days and learning more and more. He loves holding on to our hands and pulling himself up to sitting and even standing.
We went on a few good walks this weekend since the weather was so nice.

And Henry even got to see his friend Liam again! I think he's trying to figure out if he's looking into a mirror or just seeing another cute baby. :)

A Park Adventure

We are having so much fun with Henry these days! Today he even gave us his first giggles which was really exciting. He's a pretty serious guy, so it must have been pretty entertaining for him to laugh out loud. Now Mommy and Daddy are trying every trick in the book to hear him laugh! :)

Henry had his first playground adventure this week as well. I think Mommy and Daddy had more fun than he did, but I'm sure he still enjoyed it! . . .

Henry at 4 Months

This week Henry turned 4 months old! We can't believe how quickly he's growing and how much fun we're having with him! In the last few weeks he's really improved at picking up toys (and of course bringing them to his mouth to chew on). :) His latest thing is watching the mobile on his swing. He always liked it, but now he just seems to love it! We'll put him in the swing and he'll instantly start smiling at the fish above his head (even if he's a bit cranky). Here he is staring up at the mobile . . .

He played so hard one morning that he fell asleep on his playmat! :) When he woke up 30 minutes later, he just kept going where he left off and continued to play with his toys. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it! . . .

Aunt Dori and Uncle Max even happened to be in town and made sure to visit Henry! It's been a long time since we were all in the same place and it was a lot of fun for them to see how much Henry had grown . . .

Henry's 1st Ducks Game

Last week Henry had two big firsts: His first day at daycare and watching his first Ducks game (on TV).

He is really doing well at daycare. Mommy definitely had a harder time than Henry did! Mommy and Daddy dropped him off on his first day and Mommy even visited him at lunch time. Here is Daddy and Henry on his first day:

While the Ducks game might not have gone as planned, we tried our best to root on the team! Here are Henry and Tilly in their Duck gear (and no, Tilly does not appreciate us dressing her in a Ducks T-Shirt, but at least she humors us!) :)
And the whole family all Ducked out . . .

Here we are at Grandma and Grandpa's house to watch the game (Tilly held down the fort for us at home) . . .

Unfortunately, Labor Day Weekend wasn't too exciting for us. Daddy had to do some work and Mommy was sick all weekend. We'll do our best to make up for it this coming weekend! :)
