Family Portraits

While Dori was in town, she offered to take some updated family pictures (yay!). I'm not sure she knew what she was getting into! Wrangling a one-year old and a dog is quite the feat!

Henry had to run around and get out his energy first. He checked the tomatoes, picked some ripe ones (and not so ripe ones) and even helped water them . . .

Ok, not quite ready yet . . .

Later guys! . . .

Well, as long as I can hold this tomato, I'll sit here! . . .

With enough entertainment from Grandma and Grandpa we were even able to get a few smiles and a Ducks family picture!

Henry and Tilly happy to have a good take and get back to playing. . .

And some posing with the photographer . . .

Aunt Dori and Grandpa Mike . . .

Thanks for the new pictures Aunt Dori!

Fun with Aunt Dori

Aunt Dori came for a visit this last weekend! Henry, Mommy & Aunt Dori headed to the coast on Friday to make the most of the beautiful weather . . .

We walked along the beach, dipped our toes in the water, played in the sand and of course took lots of pictures! . . .

Henry showed Dori how to use her camera . . .

Helped her catch up on her phone messages. . .

And even shared some of Daddy's tomatoes . . .

Thanks for visiting! We can't wait to see you again!

Henry at 16 months

Happy 16 months Henry! Since I'm not keeping up the baby book, this is my new baby book! Sorry for all the details, I wouldn't be hurt if you skipped over them to the pictures. :) Henry is just so much fun these days. He's really into imitating sounds and actions and is constantly trying new things. He likes to help Daddy water the tomatoes (or play in the water), any ball he can find is his favorite toy to throw around and chase around the room.

Some of his accomplishments are getting to standing from sitting (without pulling up on furniture), drinking out of a straw (when he feels like it) and climbing on everything. Some of our not favorite new things are more mini tantrums (boy he sure can be stubborn, just don't know where he gets that) :) and getting into drawers and cabinets. He opened up a drawer the other day and pulled out one of our old cell phones and started "talking" on it. That was pretty cute. :)

He's also learning more and more words such as puppy, cheese, clock, drop, up, shoe, and his new favorite is hi! He likes to say this everytime we come into a room or open the car door to get him out. Such a funny guy. And we've got 3 new teeth popping up, #3 on the bottom and #'s 5 & 6 (hopefully molars!) on the top.

Getting into trouble with Tilly . . .

Programming TIVO - guess he's a fan of the Oldies . . .

Scooting under the barstools and getting stuck underneath - Yes, Mommy grabbed the camera and then saved him. :) . . .

His new cell phone . . .

Daddy showing him how it works . . .

Looks like he's got the hang of it! . . .

Still loving bathtime! . . .

And helping Daddy pick our first tomatoes - sure were slow this year, hopefully we get more than one before it gets too cold! . . .

A Day at the Fair

We headed out to the Oregon State Fair on Sunday. Here is Henry that morning, do you think he was telling us he was bored? :) So we saved him and took him out to the fair . . .

We even checked out the Dinosaur exhibit. Follow the yellow dino tracks! . . .

And, this would be the only picture we got to take. Henry decided he wasn't a fan of the dinos in the dark with their loud growls so we hurried through the exhibit. Oh well, maybe in a few years . . .

Wandering around the fairgrounds . . .

We watched the Dog High Jump contest which was pretty amazing. It's hard to see in this picture, but there is a dog jumping just to the left of the pole . . .

And here's a better shot of another dog jumping . . .

And then Henry took a pony ride with Daddy by his side . . .

Giddyup!

Go Ducks!

Saturday was the Ducks first football game of the season!! Here is Henry getting ready for the game . . .

Touchdown!! . . .

Since the score was 59-0 at halftime (Yay!), we decided we could miss the rest of the game and head out to enjoy the nice day. We spent a wonderful afternoon at Oswego Hills Winery and hung out on the lawn . . .

Just Mommy and Henry sipping wine at the winery . . .

Just kidding, that's water in Henry's sippy and Daddy was there too! :) . . .

What a wonderful day! And for those curious, the Ducks won 72-0! I'd say that's a good start to the season.
