Our Beach Weekend - Part II

On Sunday, Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Mike came over for breakfast (since they were also staying at the beach). Then, after a long morning nap, it was off to the beach to play in the sand. It wasn't too windy on Sunday and the sun even peeked out for part of the day! . . . Henry and Tilly . . . Building a sand castle . . . Since Tilly needed to run off a bit of energy, Mommy and Daddy took turns running her down to the water and playing fetch. Mommy and Tilly . . . Daddy and Tilly . . . Mommy and Henry . . . Aha! Tilly's resting, now's my chance! . . . Then we headed up on a grassy hill to watch the surfers (real surfers, that is, not bath mat surfers) and enjoy the ocean . . . Henry had a lot of fun with the grass, as you can see . . . :)

Our Beach Weekend - Part I

On Friday we all headed to the beach to celebrate the end of tax season! We rented a house in Pacific City and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately on Saturday morning it was pretty windy and rainy so we didn't venture outside much. . . But the boys found ways to keep themselves busy. There were surfboards all over the house (surfboard bath mats, a surfboard coffee table and even a surfboard mantle, among other things), so Daddy and Henry had to try it out . . . Later that day, Heidi, Pat and Liam met us down here for lunch and a play date for Liam and Henry. We walked down the beach to a local restaurant. It was still pretty windy, but at least the rain stopped! . . . Thanks for visiting us! Henry had a great time playing with Liam!

A Quiet Sunday at Home

Opening that package I ordered. Perfect! . . . :) And trying out our ball pit. We need to make sure it works before our big birthday celebration next month! And Henry's latest thing (well, at least what he wanted to do today) of trying to put his toys on his head. Silly boy! (although to be fair, I think he picked it up from Daddy when they were playing this morning) :) That was exhausting. Time for bed! :)

Saturday in the Park . . .

Henry and Mommy met Heidi and Liam at the park on Saturday for some fun in the beautiful sunny weather. Henry joined Liam on his blanket and Liam couldn't quite figure out where this new baby came from . . . But, with a pat on the back, Liam was on his way . . . Enjoying the day . . . And, when a photo shoot presents itself, the Mommies are quick to jump on the opportunity . . . All that activity called for some relaxing in the strollers for the boys while the Mommies took a nice walk.

Henry's Booty Scootin Boogey . . .

While Henry hasn't mastered crawling (or even tried much, really), he's resourceful enough to find other modes of transportation (not including hitching a ride with Mommy and Daddy). He has sort of a scootch and reach method that gets him where he wants to go, eventually. Hopefully this will keep him content for awhile, but judging from his recent discovery of cruising along the furniture (or window sill or Mommy or . . . ), walking may be in the future. Anyway, here are pictures of his scootch. Aha! Victory! :)

Happy 11 Months Henry!

On Friday, Henry turned 11 months old! As always, the time just seems to be flying by and he learns so much everyday. This month he learned how to pull up and just got one new tooth (on the top). And while he's not technically "crawling", he's found his own way to get where he wants. He just reaches and scoots on his bottom to where he needs to go (pictures to follow in another post!).

And at 11 months, we have our own little dentist. He gets a few teeth and decides he knows all there is to know! :) Here he is giving Daddy a dental exam . . .

Too much fun! (Oh, and Henry gave Daddy the all clear). :)
