More Fun in the Sun

Last weekend while Daddy was working, Henry and Mommy headed to the park to meet up with Liam and Heidi. We went for a walk while the boys napped, and then headed to the playground to do some swinging and a little relaxing on the lawn. Helping Liam move the blanket to get to the grass . . . Lounging around . . . Eating a bit of grass . . . Oh Mommy, not the hat! And Henry practicing his new skill, clapping! . . . Another wonderful day in the sun!

A Day at the Beach

Last weekend we took advantage of the beautiful sunny day and headed out to the beach with the Heaphy family. It was Henry's first trip to the beach, so Mommy and Daddy were sure to take lots of pictures!! Henry's first look at the ocean and boy was he excited! :) . . . Getting ready to dip our feet in the ocean . . . The water may be cold but we love it! Playing in the sand . . . Hanging out with Liam . . . Eating a little sand . . . :) Snuggling with Mommy . . . More playing in the sand . . . Some family photos . . . On the way home, we stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Henry liked watching them cut and package cheese, and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed tasting the different types of cheese and even had Tillamook ice cream cones. :) Henry can't wait until our next trip to the beach!!

Henry at 9 Months

Henry turned 9 months old this week! We had his 9 month appointment today and unfortunately for Henry, he had to get a shot, but Mommy got to find out his latest stats! :) He is 28.5 inches long and 18lbs, 1oz. According to the Dr., he is progressing well in all areas. He's been a little sick lately, but he seemed to be doing much better today and got the OK from the Dr. to go to swim lessons tonight. Here's what you're looking for, some updated Henry pictures . . . Learning to drive his train . . . Helping Mommy with the laundry . . . And some more practice standing . . .

Henry and the Hairbrush

So, Mommy was trying to get ready this morning with Henry and handed him her hairbrush to distract him. Well you would have thought the hairbrush was the new toy of the century! He loved it. He talked, swung the brush around, hit it against the floor and pretty much found 100 new uses for it! Who would've thought?

Henry's New Moves

OK, so Henry's not officially crawling or walking yet, but lately he's been showing an interest in both. We're currently taking bets on which method he'll choose first! He's been practicing his walking skills for months, but can't quite take the time to work on that whole balance thing. I mean, Mommy and Daddy's hands are always there to help, right? And he's done everything he can to stay off his belly (it was a big day for him when he learned how to roll to his back to end the tummy time torture). But, lately he's been venturing out further on his hands from sitting position. So, which will it be??

First off, we have walking. Here he is practicing his balance and moving along the table. Which, for the most part may have been accidental, but he did eventually end up at the couch. He usually is having so much fun hitting the table with his hands, he can't balance enough to move his feet too. :)








And then we have the crawling. . .





It kinda looks like he knows what he's doing!



OK, not quite, but it's a step in the right direction!



And of course a roll on to the back, because we really don't like staying on our tummy! :)





Only time will tell which method he will choose or perfect first!
