Today Geoffrey and Ashley came over to watch Idaho play in the Humanitarian Bowl with us. It was a close game, but Idaho pulled it out in the end. Idaho 43, Bowling Green 42!

Snow!!
Today we were surprised with snow. Now, I know to those of you in parts of the country that are used to lots of snow, this is nothing, but to us it was a big event. We got about 3 whole inches of snow! :)

Henry had never seen the snow (and might not see it again this year - you never know around here), so we were excited to get him out to see it. We now realize that the time it takes to get him ready to go out far surpasses the time we're actually out there, but it was still fun. :)

Here is Henry and Mommy in the snow. I believe a comment of "I can't put my arms down!" is appropriate here. :)

And of course Tilly wanted to play in the snow too! She loves rolling around in it. . .

My First Christmas
Christmas was a lot of fun. Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Mike came over for Christmas dinner and of course to watch me open a few more gifts. :)
My first look at the tree and presents. Once I saw all those colorful toys, I was off running to the tree (OK, so walking quickly while holding onto Mommy's hands, but close). . .

Whew, all that playing and checking out presents is sure exhausting. Time for a break . . .

OK, time for the stocking, what could there be? No candy this year, but a few fun bath toys.

Time to open presents! (Well, really grab the paper and try to eat it as Mommy and Daddy take it from my hands, but eventually I found the toys!)

Reading one of my new books . . .

And finally a nap. I had to rest so I could wake up and play some more. So many fun things to explore, so little time . . .

Christmas sure is fun, can we do this everyday? :)

Christmas Eve
We had a fun and relaxing Christmas Eve. We headed over to Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Mike's house for Christmas Eve dinner. Even though Henry doesn't really understand all about Christmas, it was still a lot of fun being able to share these holidays with him for the first time.
Here was his dinner. . . OK, so Mommy wouldn't really let him take one of the cookies but I'm sure his baby food jar of Sweet Potatoes tasted just as good :) . . .

He even got to open a few presents from Grandma & Grandpa. He really started getting the hang of ripping the paper off. Of course he just wanted to eat the paper and didn't notice the gift at first, but it's all a learning process, right?

Friends, Family and Christmas Parties
This month Henry had quite the busy social calendar! :) He had two Christmas parties and lots of visits with friends and family. . .
Here he is with Jean at her Christmas party. He did well being passed around and playing with everyone.

Mommy and Daddy went to Daddy's work party while Henry hung out with Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Mike. We made up for it, though, he was the center of attention at Grandma and Grandpa's party the next week. Apparently we had so much fun at that party that we didn't have time to take many pictures! :)

And he even got to meet Cassidy for the first time. She had a layover at the airport so Mommy and Henry met her there to catch up and play, of course. While he's starting to get a little cautious around new people, they were good friends by the end of the visit.

Our attempt at a self-portrait. Not too bad, but there was no one to make Henry look at the camera. :)

Henry at 7 Months
Last week, Henry was officially 7 months old! We are having a ton of fun with him and can't believe how much he learns and grows each day. He's perfecting his sitting skills, telling lots of stories and of course taking the time to play everyday!
Using the unofficial Mommy method of measuring and weighing, we estimate that he ways about 17.5 pounds and is about 27 inches long. Quite the growing boy!
I think his favorite part of the day is bath time. He loves looking at himself in the mirror (Who is that cute baby?) :), talking to Mommy and Daddy and grabbing at the toys next to his bath . . .

Fun in his exersaucer. Who needs all those toys when he can reach the laundry basket? :)

All that learning and playing sure wears a boy out! Time for a nap with Daddy!

Carrots and Bananas and Peas, Oh My!
In the last few weeks, we've been introducing Henry to all sorts of new foods.
Like carrots . . .

And peas . . .

And bananas . . .
Some have gone over better than others. Carrots seem to be a favorite so far, and bananas the least favorite. He's made some pretty funny faces after eating the bananas. But I can't blame him too much, they aren't quite the real thing. We think he'll like his finger foods better! :)

I think he's eaten more of his fingers than the food, but all part of learning!

Now that we've gotten used to eating, I think we're becoming a fan!

More Christmas Lights!
On Monday, we were off to the Portland Speedway to check out more Christmas lights along with Grandma Debbie. Usually it's a drive through event, but they were having a special Doggie Walk night which we thought would be perfect for the family. Tilly had a great time walking the track and Henry loved looking at all the fun lights! Another beautiful dry night didn't hurt either. :)

Zoo Lights
Last Sunday, we headed out to Zoolights with the Heaphy family. We'd never been there before, but figured Henry was the perfect excuse to check it out! We went a bit early to check out a few of the animals and stayed until dark to see all the lights. Henry stayed awake until the very end so he wouldn't miss a thing!
Here he is all bundled up checking out the warthogs . . .

After dark, checking out some of the light displays . . .
And riding the train to check out more lights! . . .
We met up with Ty, Jay and Harper and snapped a few photos . . .
And one last family photo before Henry crashed . . .
We had a great time. This might be a new Christmas tradition for us! Of course the beautiful, dry night helped!
