Henry's Pool Party

What better on a warm summer day than a dip in the pool? Henry had a good time in his pool today (once we figured it out, of course). Apparently it's way too cold straight out of the hose (I can't say I blame him on that one). So, once we warmed it up a bit and daddy joined him, he was much happier! Although, while we were doing all that, he had fun sitting next to the pool playing in it, so maybe that's the route we'll take next time. :)

Up Up and Away . . .

Early, early Friday morning, we headed out to the balloon festival happening this weekend. Who knew the sun was up that early. :) The Heaphy's had the same idea, so we explored the festival with them. Henry was very fascinated by all the brightly colored balloons! He loved the big pig playing peek-a-boo. . . It was really fun watching them blow up the balloons and send them up in the air . . . Practicing our walking . . . And Henry had to check out this trailer, of course, since it had his name on it! :) . . .

The Strawberry Festival & More

Last weekend, we headed to the Strawberry festival and picked up some fresh local strawberries (that's when you know it's summer). :) Henry also had a fun time on their slide and we even took a hayride around the farm! We also explored a nearby trail as part of our goal to check out all the local parks . . . And here are Avonlea and Henry on one of our walks . . . And, here are more Henry pictures. :) He's really starting to learn how to climb up on everything. He's quite proficient pulling himself up and getting quick on his booty scoots, army crawl and cruising. He hasn't figured out the benefits of walking yet (besides a few steps here or there and holding on to things while walking), but I'm sure he'll be there soon. For now, he's finding every other way to get where he wants to go. . .

Henry's Army Crawl!

Tonight Henry surprised us with a new army crawl! Just when we're sure he'll walk before crawling, he keeps us on our toes! We're not sure the army crawl is much faster than the booty scoot, but it's fun to watch. :) Enjoy the video! (OK, so I know the army crawl is only on the end of the video, but I love how proud he was of getting back to sitting when we put him on his knees).

Swim Lessons!

Tonight Henry had his last swim lesson. It was about boat safety, so they got to try on life vests and ride in an inflatable raft. Henry and Harper decided they weren't big fans of the boat and were much happier out of the boat and life vests. :) We'll miss our Friday night swim lessons (maybe we'll have to sign up again in the fall)! . . .

Fun in the Sun

To make the most out of these sunny days, we have been exploring different parks nearby. Who knew there were so many parks tucked away in the neighborhoods? :) And luckily, they all seem to have playgrounds! (Although, to be honest, I think he's happiest with the bark chips) . . .

Best Friends

Henry has been taking advantage of the summer weather and spending time with his friends! On Friday, Henry, Liam & Harper headed to the zoo to check out the animals (with the Mommies, of course) . . . Ready to roll! . . . Checking out the sea lions . . . And the goats . . . Exploring the new dinosaur exhibit (Henry wasn't a big fan, but I thought it was pretty neat!) . . . And then there were two, and only one awake . . . On Sunday, Henry headed out for a picnic with Mommy and Daddy and his friend Liam (and his Mommy). Relaxing in the shade . . . And practicing our balance! . . .
